2025 Excellence in Business Awards Nomination Guide

Overview
The Collierville Chamber of Commerce Business Awards celebrate excellence, leadership, and community spirit among Collierville’s business community. Each year, we recognize the individuals and organizations that make Collierville a thriving place to live, work, and do business.

Eligibility:

• All nominees must be current Chamber members in good standing, except for the Person of the Year category.
• Nominees must have a physical presence in or serve the Collierville area.
• Previous award recipients are eligible again after three years.
• Chamber staff and current Board Executive Officers are not eligible.

How to Nominate:

1. Complete the official online nomination form or printed application.
2. Provide a summary (150–250 words) highlighting why your nominee deserves the award.
3. Include examples of measurable impact, leadership, or community engagement.
4. Submit all nominations by SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2025.

Selection Process

1. Eligibility Review:
   All nominations will be reviewed by Chamber staff to ensure they meet the eligibility requirements for their respective categories.
2. Finalists Announced:
   The top three (3) eligible nominees in each category will be selected as finalists.
3. Membership Vote:
   Finalist names and profiles will be shared with the full Chamber membership, who will cast their votes to determine the winners in each category.
4. Winners Announced:
   Award recipients will be announced and celebrated at the 2025 Excellence in Business Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, February 11.

​Award Categories & Qualifications

Person of the Year
Honors an individual who demonstrates exceptional leadership, integrity, and community impact.
Qualifications:

• Open to both Chamber members and non-members.
• Demonstrates outstanding leadership and civic engagement.
• Significant contributions to Collierville’s growth, quality of life, or community well-being.
• Serves as a positive role model through volunteerism and collaboration.

Small Business of the Year
Recognizes a small business that has shown exceptional innovation, resilience, and success.
Qualifications:

• Must be an active Chamber member with fewer than 30 employees.
• Demonstrated business growth or excellence in products/services.
• Active participation in the Collierville community or Chamber programs.
• Evidence of sound business practices and leadership culture.

Non-Profit of the Year
Celebrates a nonprofit organization making a lasting difference in Collierville.
Qualifications:

• Must be an active Chamber member in good standing.
• Demonstrated measurable community impact through programs or services.
• Innovative approach to addressing community needs.
• Exemplary stewardship of resources and collaboration with partners.

Spirit of Collierville Award
Recognizes a person, business, or organization that embodies the heart and soul of Collierville.
Qualifications:

• Must be an active Chamber member.
• Demonstrates exceptional civic pride and community involvement.
• Goes “above and beyond” to promote Collierville’s character, hospitality, and connectedness.
• May include volunteerism, beautification efforts, or other acts of community goodwill.

Healthcare Provider of the Year
Honors an individual, clinic, or organization providing outstanding healthcare service and compassion.
Qualifications:

• Must be an active Chamber member.
• Demonstrated excellence in patient care and community health initiatives.
• Commitment to innovation, wellness, and accessibility.
• Positive reputation among patients, peers, and the broader community.

Nomination Tips

• Share specific stories or measurable examples of impact.
• Focus on results, leadership, and community engagement.
• Attach supporting materials if applicable (press releases, testimonials, photos, etc.).
