Economic Structure

Collierville's economy has transcended from a predominantly agricultural base into a diverse economic structure including manufacturing, service, trade, construction, finance, government and high technology. Collierville's economic base has maintained a steady course of expansion and diversification and continues to show promise of future growth in years to come.

The manufacturing sector is broad based as well. Industrial operations cover a wide range of product lines including plastics, electronics, surgical appliances, refrigeration equipment and many more. The largest of these industry sectors (plastics and refrigeration) continue to provide jobs for Collierville area residents.

Based on current and projected growth, Collierville places emphasis on long-term planning for the future needs of its citizenry. It is a community that has prepared for its growth by positioning itself for the future needs of industrial, commercial and residential development.
