Economic Structure
Collierville's economy has
transcended from a predominantly agricultural base into a diverse
economic structure including manufacturing, service, trade,
construction, finance, government and high technology.
Collierville's economic base has maintained a steady course of
expansion and diversification and continues to show promise of
future growth in years to come.
The manufacturing sector is broad
based as well. Industrial operations cover a wide range of product
lines including plastics, electronics, surgical appliances,
refrigeration equipment and many more. The largest of these industry
sectors (plastics and refrigeration) continue to provide jobs for
Collierville area residents.
Based on current and projected
growth, Collierville places emphasis on long-term planning for the
future needs of its citizenry. It is a community that has prepared
for its growth by positioning itself for the future needs of
industrial, commercial and residential development.

“Collierville is a community that is
well balanced with both industrial and residential areas. As an
owner of a fast growing technology company, we have found
Collierville still possesses that small town charm with the big time
infrastructure to support World Class companies.”

“Helena’s decision to move to
Schilling Farms was made easier because of the first-class treatment
and cooperation we received from the city of Collierville. The
business/residential concept of Schilling Farms in a park-like
setting is unique, and we believe it will be a positive environment
in which to conduct business.”
