James Lewellen
is the City Administrator for the Town of Collierville. A
native of Ripley, Mississippi, James graduated from
Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in
education and a masters in public policy and public
administration. James
served as director of the planning and development
department for the City of Southaven, Mississippi for two
years prior to accepting a position with Germantown as chief
planner in the Department of Development in 1989 and was
promoted to assistant city administrator in 1993. James has
held his current position as City Administrator for the Town
of Collierville since October 1995. He is a member of the
American Institute of Certified Planners, American Planning
Association, the International City Manager’s Association
and the Tennessee City Manager’s Association.
James and his wife, Loren,
have three children and reside in Collierville. |
