Fran Persechini was
unanimously named President of the Collierville Chamber of
Commerce on June 16, 2005. A
staff member for thirteen years, she has first-hand knowledge
of all Chamber functions has been an integral part of the Chamber’s
growth and diverse initiatives.
As President, Persechini is responsible to the Board of Directors for
the full range of activities including coordination of the
program of work, budget, organizational structure and
procedures, interpretation of policy, long-range planning,
liaison with Town elected officials and Town staff and
involvement with community organizations. A graduate of
Leadership Collierville Class of 2005, she currently serves
on the Collierville Education Foundation Board of
Directors. She is also an active member of the American
Chamber of Commerce Executives, West Tennessee Chamber of
Commerce Executives and Memphis Regional Chamber of Commerce
Existing Business Core Team. Other community organizations
she has served include Catholic Church of the Incarnation, BSA Scout Troop 331, and Kiwanis Club.
Persechini and her family moved to Collierville 13 years ago
from the Army War College in Carlisle, PA. They spent 25
years as a military family living on the West Coast, East
Coast and in the Southern States and overseas in Korea,
Italy and Germany. During that time she developed her
career working for the Department of the Army in various
capacities and was a community volunteer in each duty
assignment along with her responsibilities to battalion
families during deployments to Saudi Arabia and Somalia. A
native of Boston, Massachusetts, she is a graduate of Boston
Business School and Massachusetts General Hospital School of
Practical Nursing.
Persechini and her husband, Fred, have two daughters and one
son. Fred, a Retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, currently
teaches JROTC at Wooddale High School. They have a
daughter, Ellen, an attorney in Wilmington, NC; daughter,
Jennifer, a teacher at the Lausanne Collegiate School and son, Philip, a professional pilot
instructor at MTSU and serves in the Air
National Guard.
