The future is bright for TN State Representative Kevin Vaughan! Vaughan was recently named Top Freshman Lawmaker by the Tennessee Journal. Our Collierville native impressed colleagues with his wit (singing a made-up “General Assembly Fight Song” in the Local Government Committee) and his business acumen (his part-ownership of a rodeo bull called Matrix). He also got four of his first nine bills signed into law.
Vaughan was also selected by the Republican Party as one of twenty-seven members of the 2018 Class of Emerging Leaders, a list of promising legislators selected for their potential and ability to impact their state.
“Our 2018 Emerging Leaders highlight our efforts to promote Republicans who advocate for the personal and economic security of Americans," said GOPAC Chairman David Avella. "These men and women are a superb addition to the roster of Republicans we are developing nationwide to lead in their state legislatures and/or run for higher office.”
Way to go, Kevin! Keep up the good work in Nashville!
